It was an amazing two days of inspiring fashion and Baileys. Runway Abuja was an event that truly showed the artistic talents and creative genius of the various designers like Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Resurrection, DZYN, VODI, Mai Atafo, Iconic Invanity and so many others. It was truly a night of style and sophistication as various designers created wonderful pieces that wowed the audience. Guests were treated to the panache and style courtesy Baileys. Ex-Eagles star, lloenyosi’s dad kidnapped

Just when many Nigerians seem to have relaxed and forgotten the tortuous experience of the kidnapp of John Mikel Obi’s father, another player has fallen victim. This time, the case of kidnap is that of former Nigerian central defender, Chikelue lloenyosi’s dad, Chief James Chikelue lloenyosi who is reported to have been kidnapped on Monday at his country home, Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The 83-year old man was picked up by armed men in a Toyota Camry car around 8.30am just two poles to the house on his way back from the Catholic morning mass service.
lloenyosi said the family has established contact with the dad’s kidnappers who have put forward a whopping N50 million price tag as a precondition for his release.
“My dad was picked up by men suspected to be kidnappers on Monday around 8.30am just two buildings away from his house on his way back from morning mass.
“The armed men came in a Toyota Camry car and scared neighbours who came out en masse to rescue my dad with ferocious gun shots.
“We’ve established contact with the kidnappers and even spoke with our dad who appeared unhurt as at the moment but passionately pleaded with us to act quick before something unsavoury happens to him.
“The kidnappers have tabled a staggering N50 million price tag for his release.
“We’ve appealed to them to come down on their demand but they’re unyielding insisting that we must cough out the sum if we wish to see our dad alive.
“We’re continuing with the appeal believing that something will touch their hearts to come up with an amount we could afford to get our dad released.
“My dad is not a politician as these men pounce on anybody that catches their fancy. We pray they’ll have a change of heart as we don’t have that kind of money they’re asking,” lamented the former Enugu Rangers man to supersport.com.
The old lloenyosi holds the traditional title as ‘Akuluno 1 of Abagana.’

FENDI LAUNCH

FENDI recently launched its new women’s fragrance here in Nigeria on the 15th November at The Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria island. The fragrance was launched to the Media by Amanda Stonya and Diane Ruzvidzo, the Brand’s representatives to Nigeria.

Guests included former Miss Nigeria Ene Lawani, Music star Seyi Shay, Kayla of Cool FM, Bobby Taylor, Love Idoko,Venita Akpofure, Ono Bello, Onah Nwachukwu and other beautiful ladies. The launch was followed by a champagne cocktail at the hotel’s ‘Soul Lounge’.. Chiara Mastroianni (the daughter of Catherine Deneuve and Marcello Mastroianni) is the face of Fendi’s latest female fragrance.

L’ACQUAROSSA was created by Delphine Lebeau, Benoist Lapouza and Francois Demachy. On spraying the fragrance you initially smell the Italian accents of Tangerine from Sicily and Bergamot from Calabria and Plum accord. The heart of the fragrance is a made up of The lantana flower which is enhanced by a bouquet of Magnolia, Damascena Rose and Orange Flower essences.The base notes bring nuances of red cedar, musk and Indonesian patchouli.

The fragrance is presented in a bottle where Flamboyant red teams with precious gold. The Double F logo is stamped on the bottom of the fragrance and the logo L’Acquarossa is engraved on the edges of the bottle.

L’Acquarossa is available in 30, 50 and 75 ml EDP and is available in all Essenza and Montaigne stores in Nigeria.

Photos: APC protest against electoral fraud in Anambra state

Here are some photos from the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress march taking place at INEC HQ, Abuja. The APC says the protest to INEC headquarters is to register its disapproval of the Commission’s string of failures in conducting recent elections, including the ‘inconclusive’ Anambra Governorship poll. They are demanding the cancellation of Anambra gubernatorial poll. 

The protesters were stopped by a detachment heavily armed policemen who prevented them from reaching the INEC offices. Protesters include former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, former military head of state, Muhammadu Buhari, and Chief Bisi Akande. See photos after the cut...
